Privacy policy

Controller and scope

This policy explains how we handle data related to the purchase, activation, support and use of Zawan. It applies to the website, commercial communications, license management and services associated with the plugin.

Data we may collect

We may process professional contact details, license identifiers, billing data provided by the payment provider, plugin version, Revit version, operating system, technical activation logs and support communications.

Payment data

We do not record, store or have full access to your card number, CVV, bank account or payment credentials. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which collects your payment and billing details (name, email, country, tax ID and payment method) as an independent controller under its privacy policy. We only receive the information needed to confirm the purchase, manage the license, provide support and comply with tax, accounting or operational obligations, such as the email, the items purchased, the amount and the status of the subscription, payments and refunds.

Purposes of processing

We use data to process purchases, activate licenses, provide support, prevent fraud, maintain product security, send operational communications and improve the plugin's stability, performance and compatibility.

Service usage and internal statistics

To run the service and understand how it is used, we record milestones of your account: sign-up, trial start, when a computer first connects and the days the plugin contacts our servers, license activation and release, views of the pricing page and opening of checkout while you are signed in, and payment and subscription events (payments, renewals, cancellations). The plugin does not send any content of your Revit models. When cancelling a renewal, or when a trial ends, you may optionally tell us why. We may also email you reminders and help notices (for example during your trial); you can unsubscribe from the link in each email or in My account → Account, and you will keep receiving only essential emails such as security codes and payment notices. These data are used only for our internal statistics and to improve the product. If you delete your account, we delete these records and any free text you wrote, and keep the account anonymised together with the purchase and billing data we must retain for accounting and legal reasons.

Legal basis

We process data when necessary to perform the license agreement, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and product improvement, or when you have given consent for optional communications.

Third-party providers

We may use payment, hosting, technical analytics, email and support providers. These providers only access the data necessary to deliver their services and must apply reasonable security measures.

Web analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure visits, page views, load performance and basic conversion events, such as clicks on purchase buttons. These metrics help us understand the site's commercial and technical performance without recording payment methods or accessing the content of your projects. You can review Vercel's privacy policy for more information.

Cookies

Vercel Analytics does not use tracking cookies; it collects metrics anonymously and in aggregate. Only strictly necessary technical cookies from the payment platform may be present.

Revit model data

The plugin is designed to run automations on your local files or work environments. Unless a specific feature explicitly states otherwise, we do not copy or upload your Revit models, drawings, families or project documentation to our servers.

Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to manage the license, provide support, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Technical logs may be retained for limited periods for security, auditing and product improvement purposes.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction or portability of your data where applicable. You may also withdraw consent for non-essential communications without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or alteration. No system is completely infallible, so we recommend protecting your credentials and keeping backups of your projects.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or product changes. The version in effect will be the one published on this page and will apply from its update date.
