Floor plans by group

When to use it

When the project repeats in groups (typical units, bathroom cores, hotel rooms) and you need a plan of each one, ready to place on a sheet.

Options

By type or by instance

One view per group type (the first copy found) or one per group placed in the model.

Crop margin

Distance left around the group when cropping the view.

View template

Applied to every view created, so they all share the same graphics.

View names

Pattern with the group name and an optional prefix or suffix (“Plan - Unit A”).

How it works

   Open a floor plan of the level where the groups are and launch Floor plans by group from the Zawan tab.

   Choose whether you want one view per group type or one per placed group, and tick the ones you want.

   Adjust the crop margin, the view template and the view names.

   Confirm: Zawan creates the plans cropped to each group, with the template applied, in the project browser.

Good to know

• It works with model groups; detail groups are ignored.
• If a view with the same name already exists, the new one gets a number appended instead of replacing it.
